What is that light?

Starting the BMW today, at the cockpit/dashboard- I saw a small “clock like” display above the 5 green service indicator lights. What does that indicate?
Here's a picture:

Maybe it means that although there are still green LEDs that by time alone some service may be needed

Try pushing your check control button (to the left of that set of indicators) I believe it's the "priority2" listings and /or an OBC funtion.

Z,

If the green LED's are all lite up, then you dont need to woory about the clock like display. If 2 or 3 LED's are lite up, then you need to go in for Oil Service. Cheers....

Thanks for the reply.

First off I burst out laughing at Cartony’s reply.

Well I did press the OBC check button but everything seems OK. I’ve looked up the manual (Pg.13) and it says “CLOCK SYMBOL in conjunction with INSECTION: shows that an annual inspection is due.”

Well I have 3 more LEDs on the display. Maybe I wait all the light go off and then send for oil service and inspection or I have to do it now? Anywhere the car will be stored in the garage though around next month as I’m going to UK for like one year plus.

yeah its just letting you know that you are close to an oil change, last time you got it done did you have the light reset? I never bought the tool, and the wire trick isn't working for me, so mine is red haha.

It works on E30's. Not sure I'd dare try on later models
