Microfilter replacement

there's this excellent article bout changing the microfilter ([url]www.pelicanparts.com) I was wondering how can you tell if your microfilter needs changing. the air flow from the a/c ducts seems not too strong. Can i clean the air filter and reuse it?

If your air flow seems restricted than you probably need to change it. You really won't know until you pull it out and look at it. I haven't heard of anyone cleaning and reusing them. It'll probably be $20, definitely not more than $30. If you have AAA you can get a discount on the part from NAPA.

thanks!! i changed the microfilter myself after getting an oem filter from the agent. The funny thing is that i followed the instructions that mentioned my filter was on the passenger side. In fact it was behind the center console after removing the panel on the driver's side of my car. It took me 15minutes to change it and get it all cleaned up in there. I spent another hour to put back all the panels and vacuum the other side of the car. Guess that was the first time the panel was removed coz i saw a whole bunch of loose sticky cloth that was holding up the wires. I tidied it up a bit by securing all those wires with new cable ties and discarded a handful of sticky black cloth from under there. Btw, the old microfilter was covered in soot, cathairs and all sorts of grunge. Popped in the new one and now the a/c is working so well and cool.

After starting up the car, i noticed that the ABS and the traction control lamp lit up. I ignored it since normally it would go off when i switched off the car and turned her on again. but it has been 3 days and the abs and traction lamp is still on. Can't feel any difference though. Was there something i did wrong when i was under the panel and 'tidied' her up? Didn't disconnect anything.. any ideas? IS there a way to reset these lights?
