Explosions from air filter (air intake), low throttle response
 

On my e36 320i 92/93 that is the problem but not all the time. Air and gasoline filter and spark plugs are new. Sorry on bad english. Hello from Croatia!

Sounds like a timing issue - plug wire crossed maybe or loose - :dunno

Welcome, too bad about Croatia I like their football team, I think that it could be timing, or spark plug wires crosses like clapton was saying because bad plugs, or wires did that with my car, no explosions though because the timing of my car is fine.

He's refering to "explosions" = backfire through the intake
