How not to Install a massage chair in your E36!
1. Enjoy driving your e36 till sometimes develops and turns out to be a defective drivesfhaft. Of course, try to eliminate the source of all those annoying vibrations by balancing the tires, align your wheels, get new wheel bearings, new transmission mounts, new central bearing mounts and a new flex drive. whatever it takes to minimize the vibrations...
2. Continue driving the car but this time, the vibrations occur at all speeds at any gear. Loose a couple nites of sleep wondering whether to shell out US$500 for a new driveshaft and then get it installed. Meanwhile your friends book your ride to get massage therapy from your beemer.
3. Survey for a qualified mechanic and read about nightmares from other bmw drivers when a driveshaft blows out it can take out the bearings and worse that that.
4. Take the car to a qualified and experienced (!) mechanic whos knows how to install a new driveshaft.
5. Break down and shell out the cash to get the driveshaft installed, use original parts only.
6. slap yourself in the forehead when suddenly the vibrating sensations are totally eliminated from the cabin. And your friends end up taking naps on those long highway journeys...
hope you all are not bothered to read my account on what i had experienced and what i had to do to get rid of those annoying vibrations in the cabin. I dont wish you all to have the same nightmare that i had. Imagine a constant vibration in your car's cabin. the moral of this story is to ask around from the experts and once you have found out the cause of your problems, fix it asap with original parts.
Now that my e36 drivetrain is back to running smoothly, wat's next? that squeek in the engine bay...
