Ok so Ive been having problems with my rear bearing for about 2 weeks now and well last night i replaced the Right rear bearing which was A Major pain in the ass without the tool . I had to use my dremel to cut the race ring out. So i figure to hell with this im not goin to do the Left side like this so this morning i Called up Bav Auto and Purchased the tool @ $250.00 no discount (Shown) maybe i can get this out to those who need it for a small rental fee which would be nice...?
If you want to save on a costly repair, replace your own bearing or pull your own hubs with our all in one master kit. Designed to efficiently remove and install hub and wheel bearings, this kit will make the notoriously difficult job of removing rear wheel bearings a breeze. The kit comes with a set of adapters that can be used on all front and rear wheel drive vehicles with independent suspension. The tool eliminates the need for such drastic measures such as a slide hammer or flame torch to remove the rear wheel bearing. The tool facilitates the installation and removal of the rear bearings, and makes the whole job 1000% easier. This kit can be used on nearly every BMW models from 1980 on.

Dude do a DIY with it. I need to do a left front wheel bearing and have been putting off doing it. I will also consult my bently but I might be game to rent it to save myself some cash.
Aw, man . . I told you just get 2 pipe caps and some threaded rod, that's how everyone else does it. That would have cost you about 7 bucks at Home Depot, and you would have been done today
Oh btw> i checked my bushing as well and man that thingh was shredded to pieces! so le olde drill and a hammer to whack the new ones back in worked fine.
yea dude, rental is an amazing idea, maybe everyone at UB can create like a big thread and rent multiple tools
That would be a great idea. People could leave a security deposit on the tool they rent and then when it is returned in good shape get their deposit back. We could save thousands by sharing tools.
seriously Lets do this, and like UB can get a cut as well. Man i think it could be HUGE all over the U.S!, you know how many people would pay to rent a tools like this.
