Thumbs up ignition swich help

I tried to change the igniton swich from my 328 is 96,it is almost imposible for me to install the new one. To take off the old one, I had to drill it. If some one can give a advice would be great.

what problems are you having exactly? ive done this before, the only way to get the bolts off is to take a chisel to them, they break them at the factory for safety reasons, i was told, but what other trouble were you having, you do know that you have to take the steering wheel off, right?

either way, you have to take off the steering wheel, its actually not that hard, 1st, disconnect the battery, then, there are four star screws, on the back of the steering wheel that will pop the airbag out(atleast this is on a 92 325i), once the airbag is out, unplug it, and then there are a few bolts for the actual steering wheel itself, its very self explanatory from there
