Question OBX Cat-back?

I saw this on eBay, just curious... at that price... is it crap?

I'm not looking for a "high end" upgrade, I just want something that looks nicer and sounds a little better.

Any good?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-C...QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks!

I personally wouldn't trust ebay for a catback. It'll probably sound ricey.

What sound are you going for? Refined? Deep? Loud/mean?

Maybe we can instead direct you to a respectable, well-known catback vendor that would fit your needs.

OBX is a known quantity in the VW world. Techtonics tuning, a respected VW tuner, sells some of their products. How it sounds, I have no idea.

OBX is alright, not the best brand, but I have heard they are pretty decent bang for the buck.

I know OBX makes cheap exhaust headers for BMWs, but I've never heard of their catbacks before.

dont buy that, it looks cheap.

Instead if you want a deep, not too loud, sound, go with Stromung

If you want a deep, throaty, catch eyes sound, go with UUC.

There are also other quality brands like Remus, Borla, Dinan, Eismenn, etc.

Anything for like $500 or less? If yes, which, and can you recommend a seller?

i believe Folgers works a bit better... haha

a muffler? i dont think these companies sell just the mufflers brand new, however maybe they do, but im sure that you could probably fiind some used ones, someoen who had the system and is getting rid of it for whatever reason, you can try bimmerforums classifieds, you may find something there
