E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
I have no idea where to put this thread for the best response so, here goes.
As most of you know, I am redoing almost all of my interior. I have a question about the B-pillars. Mine are sticky. Really sticky. Forget taking the sticky shit off because I have used every chemical/ mix of chemicals short of the A-bomb. Still sticky.
First, what are the b-pillars supposed to look like? Sticky black? Flat black? Covered? I don't even know, this is what my car came with two years ago. I can't seem to find any pics of a black interior car with dove gray headliner to see what it came with from the factory. I highly doubt that it was sticky.
Is there a place were I can buy two new b-pillars if i can't get the sticky off?
Thanks for your help guys.

I'd love to hear the answer to this one, because for some reason, mine are sticky as well . . . I could never figure out why, and I've left them that way since I got the car
Zeaq just replace his, so maybe he's got some insight as to where to get new ones, I imagine we'd have to see the dealer for them. I've never seen them in any of the internet retailers we always mention.

Well I bring my car to an upholstery shop to replace the B pillar. Wow, it’s not an easy job took him ½ hour to do it. The seats have to be unscrewed just to take out the seat belts.
I bought mine from the BMW dealer. I think it’s cheaper in the US. The B pillar Costs me US$100 for one. I don’t think this can be found some place.
This is the pricing in the USA. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...39&hg=51&fg=55
My left B pillar is aslo sticky. I think i apply the wrong "Auto Gym "product. i apply the Leather care product on it which is not leather
