That's your forced velocity panic flasher, it tells you when you car's tires are flying in the air.... if you see it light up.... you better get to praying....
Am full of BS, I have no idea what that thing is for But I have one too
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
^^^Nope, not even sure it's a light. It would make sense, but that would be useless, since US spec E36's cut out at around 130-ish.
9mi left? then that would make it a "you're an idiot" light I never let the gas go lower than 50mi. I like my fuel pump/lines/filter clean and unobstructed, thank you
I once drove it down to ---
Yes, three dashes. That is what the OBC was showing
I know. I am an idiot.
Will never do again. I now always fill up at around 1/4 tank left.

It's the sensor that controls detects light. I believe it is used to dim the light when closing your door. If you have an earlier e36 chances are yours is done.
