Dyed the rear deck!

Thanks to mullethunter3 I removed the ugly purple/pink rear deck and dyed it all nice and black :D

This is what it looked like...

Drove to the local Autozone and picked up some of this... If you are just dying the rear deck, one can is way more than enough

1st coat on...

And final product :woot

It dries quickly, but am going to let it stay in the sun for a while just to be on safe side :thumbup

Oh yeah, also, these weird things rattle a bit when my bass is kicking hard, so I undercoated them to give them that rubber texture, am probably going to slapp some foam on them too.... anyone knows what they are for? :dunno

Mines all black, is your interior gray then maybe? I think black interiors have a purplish rear deck.

No, they were black but after years of sun damage, they turn purple, if you take a look at the "before" picture you'll see the black spots where sun couldn't hit it

Looks good rooz, ya mine is total shit, no tint yet so i figured that it wasn't that nasty to begin with. I was thinkin different interior colors different rear deck.

scrichy84 05-18-2006 03:45 PM
