Angry Sagging Glove Box After Cabin Filter Change

Hey Guys,

Today I changed the microfilter in my 99 M3 and after I put the glove box back together I noticed that the glove box does not close shut and there is a 1/2 inch gap which looks kinda ugly. I tried to mess with it, but could not fix it! Anyone had that problem or could suggest how to fix it?

Thank You

Here's an exploded view - might help with glove box door alignment

Make sure it is put together correctly. I thought mine was messed up when I bought it. A year latter I was messing with it, a couple pieces just popped into place and it was fine.

I think I've heard something like if you don't put each screw back in it's original spot, it could make it sag. I think the top screws are a tiny bit different from the bottom ones or something. Not sure, but it's worth a try.

Also, when I changed my cabin air filter, I did it without removing the glovebox. I just laid upside down on the seat and stuck my head under there. I'm short though, so others might not be able to get in there as easily.

I forget what site, but there is a fix for the sagging glovebox, I know that mine does slightly, I don't know for sure if it works, but I think it was basically drill 2 screws in on the top part of the inside panel
