Euro HFM mod on m52b28

I am thinking of doing the 3.5" Air flow sensor (AFM, aka HFM) mod on my 2.8

Everywhere I look, it seems like it is only done on M3's

I read somewhere that the torque curve is affected so that the peak torque is reached at higher RPM. What do you know about this?

Is there any reason why I shouldn't do it on my car?

I am planning on doing 3.5" CAI and M50 intake manifold

If I cannot get software specifically for a 328 w/ a Euro HFM, will I still experience decent gains? I don't think I am ready to pay for custom software just for that, and I haven't found a place that has HFM software ready to go for the 328. I post this here because I don't want to call Turnermotorsports if I am not ready to buy yet.

There is not enough air being pulled in to the cylinders to make the 3.5 HFM worth it on the M50 and M52. You will not experience any gains and will probably fubar up the software trying to get the HFM to work with it. Since you are doing the M50 manifold, you could always go with a 3" CAI so you dont lose as much low end torque.
