car alarm

For the past week and a half or so, my car alarm has been spontaneously going off. Is there anyway I can change the sensitivity? It goes off all hours of the night (ie. last night at 4am) and it's driving me insane. There's nothing disturbing the car so I'm not sure what's setting it off.

Any suggestions?

Some glass breakage sensors can be triggered by changes in temperature, maybe start with that. I would disable each sensor one by one till you find what's triggering. Then just leave that one off till you get it figured out. At least you'll have coverage on the remaining zones.

Is it a stock alarm?

If so I remember that my dads old 5er had this happen there is a sensor, and I think the way to disable it was to press the lock button twice, its also in the owners manual if i remember correctly. that or press and hold, but I want to say it was the lock twice.
