BMW Transmission Automatic 5HP18

is it possible that this transmission( BMW Transmission Automatic 5HP18 )would fit the 1994 325i sedan without changing the shaft and the transmission computer would it even work if i had the transmission computer since it looks all different and all. this guy wants to sell his for a really cheap price and if this is posssible i cannot refuse due to the fact my tranny is getting weak
is this all possible at all

Well, a recent 328i would be my E46. The transmission coding is either GM A5S 360R or ZF A5S 325 Z for '99-03/'00 and 04/'00-'01 respectively.

It's the E36 M3 transmission. It is a 5-speed. Seeing that the bodies are pretty much the same, it should physically fit. After that, I don't have a clue.

Do us a favor and take that VIN number on the front of that transmission, take the last 7 numbers and letters and input it into this site.

http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi

Now, copy and paste that into a reply here. Even though it looks like it could bolt up to the engine, it looks like you may be missing a lot in the rear. Better pictures wouldn't hurt either.
