On Board Diagnostics
Hello
I have read guides on how to activate your BMW E36 OBD from this article:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...nostics%20.htm
and for my E36, I cannot get the timing right to press the petals. Does anyone know what to count or am i doing something wrong
I put the key in the second position "on",
I pump the petal 5 times.
and nothing happens!
anyone know a count i should use?

According to the Bentley manual, turn the ignition to position 2, fully depress the pedal 5 times within 5 seconds. If it doesn't work, try a different rhythm, but 5 times within 5 seconds.

Also, what year car do you have? It only works on e36's between 1992 and 1995. OBD2 is all computerized and the pedal trick won't work.
