Switch / Button Under/behind the gas padal?

Does anyone know what this switch behind the GAS padal is and what it does?

Thx.

My first guess is a kick down switch. A downshift switch for automatics, forces a downshift if the pedal is floored

I have it, it's like a throttle or gas pedal stoper, if you hit the gas that "switch" will stop it at 3/4 of the way, then it will get a bit stiffer to go full throttle....

yeah what I do is let off a little right when I get there, then push it down right after, so its not stiff

Its a kickdown switch as its called. Once the gas is pushed hard enough to activate it it basiclly just throws more fuel into the engine.

It's the self-destruct button, don't push it.

No, everyone above beat me to it, it's kickdown/overdrive.
