So I'm on the market for rims. .

but I'm not sure what size I should look into. Without trying them on it is hard to determine what would look good. I do plan on dropping the car a little bit, too. I'm pretty sure that 20s wouldn't look right on it (hell, not sure if they'd even fit!), and I'm thinking 17s will probably be too small to fill the wells well. But again, w/out seeing how they work on the car, it leaves me uncertain. Another note is that I would like to keep the same overall diamter (if possible).

Suggestions?

Pics w/your wheel sizes appreciated -especially straight side shots (please note if the car has been dropped, too). Thanks in advance.

*PS. Tirerack.com just doesn't cut the mustard as far as giving a good idea of what it'll look like (for me, at least). Real photos welcome. Thanks.

I say anything bigger then 17's on an e36 and you start to lose functionality. I have 8.5x17 SSR GT2s sitting under H&R sport springs (1.5' front 1.0' rear). If you like your wheels tucked I would go with race springs, but personally I hate that the tucked look.

Picture of front passenger rim is in sig.

17's are for go, 18's are really more for show. Ultimatly its ur choice, if u want more performance out of ur rims/tires id say go with 17's.

If you look hard enough at the rear wheels you can see the tire line, there is about 1/2' space (no tuck).
Hope this helps
