What about fuel maps on the chip? Wouldn't they be off and based on a 325 vs an M3?

yes they would. Your stock ECU would not be able to work with the s50. And ///M Power is right, you will also need an M3 guage cluster because you need a cluster that works with the m3 ecu.

Nope.. a 413 ecu is a 413 ecu.. Fuel maps are fine. And the 325 cluster works with an M3 ecu.

My 413 ecu was from a 95 M3. I had to change the chip for my 24 lb injectors, euro hfm, etc.. But there is not a difference between a 95 325 413 ecu and a 95 M3 413 ecu.

My car now has an ecu from a 95 M3, a wiring harness from a 94 325, and an engine from a 99 M3. My temp, speedo, rpm, coolant temp, etc.. all work. The M3 ecu shows an increased speedometer, and shows the redline moved up 500 rpm. But that is it..

you litterally can take out a 325 engine and put in an s50.. As long as your car is not a 92.. The MAF is the same, the flywheel and clutch will work from a 92, if you use an m3 flywheel and clutch you need the clutch slave cylinder.

And don't forget about Chuck at international.. he used the same ECU/chip to power his M50 and his S50. And he even used his E30 M3 cluster with that same chip/ecu
