I have a friend who is a cop here in Atlanta. I was helping him with a computer problem when he looked out the window at my car.. 2 seconds later he said "your turn signals are illegal, You WILL get pulled over for that in Fulton county." But mine blink orange and he said they are fine.
They might not mess with you for a while, but its just a matter how the cops are feeling at the time.
I haven't had a problem in the past 2 years in Alpharetta with mine.
(and the m3 blinks yellow, but the 328i used to blink white, nearly two years in that car alone without a single problem... and pulled over numerous times for other things without the cop saying anything)

yeah maybe I am lucky, when I got smoked corners, I did originally have orange bulbs, I just put my stock bulbs back in when I was trying to fix my lighting problem, and never got around to switching them back. I'll do that stealth mod eventually.
