My E36, broken into, T'was a sad day!! (Pictures)

Well guys, I have been around the UB for about....a week, and I thought it was finally time to share with you guys one of the worst days I've had. Last Janruary, I had washed my car up and it was looking good, brought it home and parked it for the night. I went to walk my wife out the next morning to her car and then I saw it. Glass everywhere and it was raining. The only thing they stole was a stupid crappy piece of shit Blaupunkt CD player. But, luckily I had insurance and after about a week in the bodyshop I finally got it back.

I appreciate you guys taking the time to let me get this off my chest!

Take Care,
Scrichy84

That's how the rims came on the car, I don't see many in Chrome! This interior was fine unfortunitly, new leather seats would have been nice!

looks like they only broke 1, that's rain on the other side.

Sorry to hear about your pain. Be glad you didn't double-lock, they likely would have just started smashing shit because they couldn't open the door. mine only double locks. So if someone breaks into mine they are really going to mess it up.

What I do is I put up a webcam on my car at night with motion detection recording software. Mine is mostly because I got hit and they guy ran (with my last car) The video is so grainy that we likely couldn't identify anyone at night (the neighbors don't know what quality picture I take all they know is I have a camera), but you can see a car well enough to know.

Hopefully it never happens again.

and the very back right window.

I'm putting up security cameras as soon as I get a house or off campus housing where I know I have a parking spot... If this happens to me, heads will roll

that sucks man, i know exactly how you feel, well almost. someone busted my pass. side window on my old car, 97 vw gti, and too a crappy CD player. i swear if they would've asked i would've given it to them, instead of going through replacing the window, cleaning glass, etc... these people should get punished badly, it's ridiculous
good luck with it

They actually chipped the hell out of my driver door, so three windows were replaced. When they broke the little window the doors wouldn't unlock without the key so they had to break the passenger window too. So, the repair bill was about $2,500, I had a chip fixed they did in the paint and they replaced my speakers in the doors along with fixing a crack in the door panel and repairing the dash. Like I said, I am glad I had full coverage!!

yeah I see the small window now. Hell yes, full coverage is a must.

I must say I like the chrome on your wheels, I want to do something with my wheels but I don't think chrome would look right

Webcam is a good idea if feasible in the area. With your convertible, someone with a knife or box cutter would have easy entrance, locked or not.
