I recommend grabbing an alarm, even if factory, and installing it. Breaking 1 window without an alarm gave them plenty of time to themselves. That alarm probably would have made a difference. Webcams aren't that bad of an idea after all, especially for the price you can get them at and the security they can provide.

[QUOTE=scrichy84]Well guys, I have been around the UB for about....a week, and I thought it was finally time to share with you guys one of the worst days I've had.

Man, really sorry to hear about your loss here. The pics says it all too. Beyond awful. It's a real shame you or your neighbors didn't hear or see them in the act.

You know, teach those losers a lesson to not mess with other folks property. People can be so damn cruel, disrespectful and jealous. Was this act of vandalism an isolated incident also?

We hear Oregon is generally a fabulous and safe place to live also. In fact, we're seriously contemplating moving up and retiring there in due time. We're thinking about Eugene, Salem or the Medford/Ashland area in particular.

You guys have some really nice, very well maintained highways and roads, unlike sucky California, all potholed, cracked and in desperate need of repaving big time!! Anyway, all the best to you. Here's hoping this sort of stuff NEVER happens to you again. Just ain't right........loser punks.......

BEST REGARDS!

Scrichy84, I think the best payback possible is that you're the one driving the bmw. They're just scummy little pricks who don't have a car as nice as yours. I think the chrome looks good on your rims, too.

Yeah but then the insurance pays for a new top, and tops wear out, mine is about 2 years old now, so in 3 years it'll be time to start thinking of a new one. so if someone breaks into my car and slashes the top to do it, I hope they have the fucking common sense to slash the seats and mess up the interior so I can get a whole new interior while they are at it.

of course I'll be pissed if it were to happen, but it's not the end of the world.

Very, true, it wasn't the end of the world, my interior and exterior look better for it happening, I just hate dealing with body shops and insurance companies.

Gold Panda: This wasn't an isolated incident but it happend in Jan ' 05 and since our neighborhood hasn't had any problems. Oregon does have a meth problem but, now in oregon, it take a precription to get over the counter medicines used for meth production, so maybe it will help.

Here in Georgia they will sell you one package without a prescription. Any more than that at one time requires a doctor's permission.
