poll: suspension or brakes?
thinking about next mod... my brakes squeek like a mofo and i love hte look of upgrades brakes, plus it would be sweet to be able to stop on a dime. But then again you have to love those twisties and the faster you can take them with a hardened suspension would be sweet. I can get teh brakes much cheaper than the suspension, but just wondering which you would do first?

Right now I would say brakes ie. rotors and stainless steel brake lines to go with your rims, also if you have suspension that is better you will probably drive faster, but if you have to stop well you might not be able to unless u have upgraded brakes at the time...

i am doing the same thing dude, and I am going brakes first. I was gonna do it all, but I decided to get the upgraded headlights made from glass and angel eyes. Next mods for me will be the exhaust and chip, then the CAI. I can't wait!

alright, thanks guys. it makes sense that in order to take those turns faster i better be able to stop and slow down when i need to. Turner Motorsport makes a package that i think I will get.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am not gonna go all out and get a big brake kit, i just want upgraded rotors, pads, and stainless steel lines.
and i know this is a common discussion but what are the differences between slotted and cross-drilled? i personally think cross drilled look better, and porsche uses them, any other opinions?

personally i would do suspension first.... stainless steel brake lines is all you really need right away from brakes unless you drive hard ALL the time... i would get some nice suspension and then go for brakes
I say do your brakes first (definitely cross drilled!). If you do your suspension first, you might get lazy and put off the brakes for a while. Plus it's the cheaper of the two, so why not just get it out of the way? I'm also wondering if larger brakes make a difference as far as suspension fine tuning? . . . if so, maybe there's your answer?

Suspension. The stock brakes really are not that bad. What kind of upgraded brakes are you talking about and for how much? If you have some sort of hook up on them share please! But yeah, suspension should give you a lot more bang for your buck. Then after that upgraded brakes will only help more.

if you need new brakes do brakes. ya suspension would be sweet but its really spendy, especially if you dont need to replace it. and remember thats $850 + install.
suspension first. stock brakes are really as much as you need unless you are tracking the car or really incresing the power a lot. unless you go to bigger brakes i dont think you will get much improved braking. it sounds more like the upgrades you are doing will do more for looks. fixing up the suspension will make your car handle better so you will be able to maneuver out of harms way instead of slamming on the brakes. go for suspension first. its certainly worth the extra costs
