Installing Suspension

Im installing a new suspension on the 328 this Friday ( Bilstein Sports/ H&R sports)

The question I have is what to do with the bump stops. It says with the instructions for the struts that the bump stops are not needed as they are built in to the strut. Is this true?

As for the rear, how much should be cut off them? or not at all?
