Red face I was stop at the police roadblock.

I got caught by the police today.

Well I was driving to town and there was a police roadblock/check ahead. This time the police are checking every car for illegal mods/ stickers on the car. Well this time my luck ran out. I got caught and being asked by the angry officer to park sideway along with other cars. Some cars have illegal tints, carbon fibre (sp) engine, small letter plates and stickers.

Well mine was the license plate. The numbering of each letters is too close. This is not my first time being stop at roadblock. This is my 3rd time! and always in the BMW.

The first time was last year.
1) I have tints on my car. They ask me to take it out. After arguments with the officers they let me go. My tints do not exceed the tint limit.
2) The sun shade at the rear window. They ask me to take it down. I said its original fitted and they believe me and they let me go.
3) Well today I have to take out the plate that I made this year and replace it with the standard ones. I was fine $50.

This is the 3rd time I encounter a roadblock and I won’t be surprise the 4th time will be the UB sticker on the windows. I saw other cars have big decals like “JBL AUDIO”, “YOKOHOMA Tyres” on their windows were asked to be taken down.

The officer didn't like the plate on my car. It's small and close to each other.

They want the standard plate. The letters are fat and ulgy.

Big decals/stickers on the car windows and body are not allowed. The UB sticker on my car is fine. It’s small and can’t be seen at the far distance. I’m just pissed off the law over here.

The standard plate consists of letters and we use glue/cement and stick it on the license board. Show in the picture below:

The police didn’t like the plate on my car because the letters was too close to each other. The one on my car is “spray type” which I ask the shop to make it.

BTW last Sunday I went to a car show and this BMW is no way approved by the Transport department or the police here. This guy bribe the officer at the transport dept. to issue a road tax so the car can be driven on the road.

Crazy!!

Socialism? Sounds like it with all these rules, then again, I've never really lived in a socialist country, so I don't know wtf I'm talking about.

BTW the letters on your old plate look like they are wider apart than on the new plate.

What a stupid rule (Dough: it is also legal in France to replace your plate with anything you like as long as the right numbers/letters are used) The plate you had was just as readable as the one they want you to use

I ask the shop to spray a new plate: Much wider and standard spacing

My country is not a communist like state. They make these rules because the "royal family" ask them to. The royal family wants the normal people like us to use the car as stock as possible and they can modify their car whatever they want. They don't want thier cars to be the same with the normal people. So their car stands out.

Wow, that's horrible. You need to move to America, haha. You've seen the kind of ricers that are legal over here.

They better not complain about the UB stickers though, or they'll have me to deal with... I'll fly over there and have a personal word with the royal family.
