Glass headlights
Anyone ever had one shatter? I can't see any impact that could have caused it, so I am thinking it may have had to do with extreme temps (got down in the teens here in PA recently)... WTF? I've had the worst luck lately with little things going wrong here and there.
BTW, they are the Bavauto conversion kit headlights. Damn it! :wtf |

what is stoneguard and where can you get it?
|
i doubt they will shatter unless you hit somthing :P, however if you catch a rock in one it will probably "mushroom"...i have stoneguard too, i would suggest it
it is a dense piece of plastic 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch maybe...that has adhesive and stickes to the glass headlight. u can get it from umnitza or bavauto :) later |
Stongard FTW. It's a must with these headlights. Also, any rock or so on could easily bounce up from the road and crack them. Get the Stongard now before it is too late. Here is the site to Lamin-X, the makers of Stongard:
http://www.lamin-x.com/ I recommend the 20mil, but if you want to be extra safe, go with the 40mil. |
anybody go with blue? is it cheezy?
|
i think i might go w. yellow for my fogs cuz i did the h7 conversion..i think it owuld be cool. it probably reduces output

i doubt it had anything to do with extreme temps. i have had no problems when it has gone down below -30C which is much colder than it probalby ever gets in PA. i also have zkw's which might be of higher quality than the bavauto ones.

and ya, it probably wasnt the temps. It would be a rock coming up on the highway. You really need that stonegard. and at least the nice thing about glass headlights is you can replace just the glass covers, where as if you broke a plastic headlight you would have to replace the entire piece. |
