Angry NEW DDE's?!

Ok. ive read alot of posts about the DDES and such. Especially all the cold weather problems etc. Is there any DDE's that are plug and play and will have no problems in cold weather? I know some of the newer versions say that their "cold weather proof" but thats advertising. I want to make sure i actually get whjat i pay for when i buy them. As someone said it's kinda messed up to pay 700+ and have your boys not light up cause it's cold.

Hum, I've heard about some DDE's taking a few minutes to start up in the cold, however Rooz typed up a nice article for the United Bimmer Knowledge Base that should fix the problem (or at least help a lot):

Which DDE kit are you looking at specifically? Umnitza?

check out the new Raptors from Understeer.com I have been told they are cold-weather proof, or some of the ones that Umnitza offers.

Red Dde's?

I just saw a pic of a white 36 with red DDE's. I take it this isn't street legal right? either way couldn't you just have your projectors on and not the DDE's when driving and turn on the red dde's for show?
