Like what Dudesky explained, pretty much sums it up. I did take it out once to DIY my rear manual sun - shade (which I nicked from a 7 Series), unfortunately, I didnt do a DIY article on that on.

Remove the rear seats, then the side panels (side panel lights, first) lift the panel and slide it out. It isnt much of a hassle when removing. Fixing it back that might pose a problem.
