I leave it in manual mode all the time. Bling bling, 1 sec delay shifts, but the delay is consistant so you can sorta anticipate when you needto shift.
DO HEEL-TOE WHEN DOWNSHIFTING, No matter if your in M or dropping it from D to 3 (sport). It dosn't blip the throttle for you, it's not a fly-by-wire car.
Storamin, it's NO manual by any means, but at least we can get some control over what gear it's in
Your Ride: 1991 318is (e30 m42), 2007 Mazdaspeed 3
Its braking, while braking you use you right foot in a way to blip the throtle to match revs while you downshit.
Basically its all 3 pedals at once, use your right toes on the brake and then push you right heal forward to blip the throtle for the rev matching (i can do it by rolling my ankle in my car to have just enough shoe to jab the gas), while all of this is happening you are downshifting with the left foot. When completed properly its a beautiful thing. Its also hard to explain and takes a little time to perfect. I will see if i can find a link.
