New exhaust tips for my car
Hello,
I’m back. Well I just bought a new exhaust tips from the BMW dealer. The tips are chrome and stainless steel. Some of you might remember, I bought an aftermarket tips and some of you prefer the old one that was stolen (BMW original tips). The aftermarket tips melted. FYI my car has just being serviced by the dealer and they’ve change the belting. I’m very happy with it because last time whenever I switch on the AC, the will be a annoying sound coming form the engine “ EEEEEEEEEEE” and now it’s all gone after they change the belts in the engine.

Well I’ve been on vacation last December to Dubai and Oman. Back to my country on the 5th and the next day I have to attend classes and lots of crazy assignments to finish up. Next week is my exams. After the exams, I‘ll be more active on UB as usual.During the busy times, i did surf UB for few minutes...

Your car must be in awesome condition, seems like your the only person that follows their checkups at certain miles.
Really? Nobody here service their E36 at the dealer??
The dealer asks me to follow the green light. They have set it to what miles that the car requires for an oil change or inspection. The only thing when servicing at the dealer, the labour charge and the oil is expensive.
Zeaq, I dig how clean your ride is. I follow the maintenace requirements also but I do most myself because I know it's done right. (I don't trust the dealerships close to home) I know some good BMW folks in Atlanta & Florida & if I have questions they're always my first "go to" guys. Nice ride!!!

I mean here's an example: replace belts every 10k miles, this is just made up but some of the things that they recommend to do, don't need to be done for quite a bit longer than they recommend.
Don't believe everything you hear from a dealer. especially a service writer. MOST BMW service writers are paid commision on what they sell you - I know, I worked and cleaned up a BUNCH of their bullshit. If when doing maintenance refer to your manual or go to THIS forum... the majority of folks here are straight shooters and are NOT afraid to question things. (It's one of the major +'s United bimmer has going for it) You can always e-mail me directly, and if I don't know I'll be more than happy to find out for you, I still have MAJOR ties w/BMW NA and it's the last thing they want is mis-information floating out there. Who knows, when I retire from music/entertainment, I'll probably go back to work for them. I didn't get 6 awards from BMW for bullshitting customers.

Thanks It's good that you can do it yourself because i'm afraid that i mess up the enjine. Well there's lots of BMW specialist here and they are slightly cheaper than the dealer. I don't trust them because they will eventually take your good parts and replace with the old one. They will evevntaully know that you'll came back to them to change that parts and chrage them as new. (Actually that's your parts).

That's horrible. Is there anything over there like the Better Business Bureau in the US? And does the dealership rip you off as much as us? haha
Welcome back (again) btw, haha. Don't go inactive on us again.

I will be active again after my exams..Well we don't have any better business b.. here. Yes the dealerships always charge very expensive and the only BMW dealer who monopolize BMWss.....Same goes to Mercedes and Porche...
