tight door handle...
hey guys so, my passanger side door handle (inside and out) is really hard to open compared to the drivers side. . it feels like i am going to break it off every time i pull. does anyone know what is wrong? . i pull it and almost maxes out the handle then, pop, it opens. anyway, thats about the best description i can give :P. thanks again bye
Hah, mine does that, too. If it's not supposed to be that way, I still refuse to fix it. It's worth the look on a new passenger's face and the, "Umm, can you unlock this?"

its not sticky, its like the tension between something is off. and its not the door handle itself. it seems like its in the door because both inside and out are hard to open :-\
I have a different problem. Sometimes when I pull up on the handle, it opens the door normally, but the handle stays in the up position. Somehow the handle rubs against the bottom trim, and I have to jam a screwdriver in there to reset the gap between the parts. Go figure.
+1. My passenger door pulled this stunt a week ago. Lubed it up and all is well.
also while doing the latches, you might want to wipe down all your rubber weatherstripping around doors, hood & trunk lid with talcom powder this helps preserve the seal itself from sticking in hot/cold situations and helps it maintain original form.
lol, both ym handles are hard, but I don't find it an issue, always get a good laught out of it, plus a good excuse to get you closer to the chick riding next to you:
"Rooz what's wrog with my door handle?" "Nothing just needs a man's touch "
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

Door handle levers are made of cheap pot metal. They crack and bend then eventually break. But the common symptom is a hard to open door until it breaks. Lube anything you can will extend the life.
