E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
Just wondering if my sunroof works normal. When I open it till it stops at fully open, I have to release the button and press again to get it to move the last 1/4" or so. Same with the tilt feature. As if the 2nd button push "locks" the sunroof into its final position. But I don't have to do this when closing the roof. Does yours work the same way? Is this maybe something that earlier models did? It's worked like this since I bought it, just wondering if there is something wrong?

My sun roof has done the exact same thing since the day I bought her. I've never had any problems w/ it so I just assumed that the roof is functioning properly. Good old 92s.
