Shudda went turbo. Those 2.8's could rock turbos pretty good.

Oh I know, *Cough* Card Counter *cough*... I want to 6spd swap with a 2.93 first and then turbo.

My E30 the last dyno run I did made a steady 280whp and 300ft-lbs. This is with a slipping clutch too. The troubles I had before were mainly due to tire slippage on the dyno. Added about 500lbs of sandbags in the back and then gave it a shot and made steady power for 5 pulls. I'm going to turn up the boost in the spring a bit and try to even out the a/f ratio

I've ordered a new racing clutch and will have it installed in March sometime and then redyno again because I'm still not convinced this is all this car has to offer but I'm more then happy with a 280whp car that weighs in around 2600lbs or so

Dude, I can never make up my mind... The idea of not having full boost until 6k rpm with a CF S/C just annoys me haha. And then spending 8k on a TwinScrew which is more expensive then a turbo just doesn't seem to make any sense So I think I'll get a mid level turbo or build my own and upgrade off of it. Shoot for something around the 350whp to begin and then move up if I feel the need. And another part of me wants to stroke out this motor and see how much WHP I can make from this measley 2.8 just for shits and giggles haha

But I think it'd be interesting to see how much power and be produced N/A on a 2.8l (who the fuck am I kidding? You all know I'll go F/I)

Yeah, Card Counter did. All he has a head gasket and head studs and lots of boost. Rest is stock. Simply amazing how much power a 2.8l engine can produce when properly done.

i think he also has m3 cams and m50 intake manifold. now maybe you could stroke it and turbo the 2.8. that would be sweet. but $ for $ you will get way more out of turboing it than going the n/a route.

cams and manifold dont count. That'sa given. Jrhaile has them too I believe.

And it's true. Card counter onyl has a thicker headgasket and arp studs. The 1.06 a/r gt35r might help a little....

No way, not card counter. Ill have to look into that but a 0.82 would defintely be at it's absolute max and wouldnt be ideal for thhose type of numbers.

i just looked and couldnt find it but found out he doesnt have cams. just the m50manifold

remember that he has a 2.8l not a 3.2l. a .82 would produce different results on an m3 than on a 328. do a search for the gt35r roll call thread. i think he says in there what he has or the lil 2.8 thread.

Im well aware of his m52. What an amazing engine.

Your right, it could defintely be a 0.82. In that case im now convinced ICS does the world's best tuning.
