its because of the manifold. the only reason people used to do the conversion is that it is easier to get chips burned. plus if you were going to spend the money doing the conversion might as well just get a stand alone ecu. i looked into doing the conversion so i could get a chip but it would have costed almost as much as i played for my tec3.

rooz, how long would it take you to drive down to florida? if you did that nick at tt could give you a custom tune for whatever mods you have.
No gonna convert anything to BODI, lol, and I already have AA who's going to flash my ecu for all my mods

THat's why I called them today just to let them know why I haven't sent my ECU to them just yet and I also asked them about the pistons and that's when they told me all that

Get a car with some torque and we'll have a discussion about which car to track.

i meant that if you go the fi route that nick g of tt would be able to give you a custom tune for your exact setup. i think many believe the tt turbo software and hardware to be superior to aa's. look into both alternatives before making your choice.

i have no idea. with an ecu tune there would be no issues with passing emissions because you would have a functional obd2 port. you might be screwed if they do a sniffer test but i dont think many places do that any more.

It's hard to specifically compare Karl to Nick. Both are great tuners, and for use to make shallow claims of which might be a better tuner should be beyond us. Whatever you go with, dont make the stupid ass regretful decision to go with "big N/A" power. You dotn have that kind of money Bill Gates.
