resetting door locks...
i read this topic somewhere in a thread about a week ago. when i unlock the trunk, the trunk obviously unlocks along w. the passenger door, but not the drivers side. the samge goes when i unlock from the passenger side. when i first bought my car wherever i unlocked it, it unlocked all of them....so if anyone knows how to get that back to normal that would be sweet. or maybe my car had a glitch in the locks a while back . later
Manually lock all doors, trunk, etc. Lock the passenger door (turning key clockwise to the 110 degree position. Then unlock drivers door - they should be synchd again, if not repeat

I have a 325i, 1992 and I can not move the key in the driver side lock. I have tried dw-40 and it did not work, when I unhooked the lock actuator( thinking that was the problem) and still the key will not turn in the lock... I'm thinking it is the lock cylinder but not sure... help please!

My back doors are like perminately locked. The truck lock isnt the original lock so the master lock reset don't work. They won't pull up nor unlock when i push the unlock button. It has an after market security alarm (i didn't buy) and my friend tripped it and thats when they locked. I've tried resetting by detaching the battery, removing the alarm, to pretty much everything. Any ideas?
Why isnt the trunk lock the original? You may have to remove the door panels to acess the mechanism that locks the door to manually open it. To syncronize the door locks you use the passenger door, not the trunk.
Aftermarket alarms are usually poorly installed, especially on BMWs. Removing it can sometimes make it worse, depding on the install. How was it wired in?
