FUN oil leak

well not really........my front main seal is leaking soooo the trans must be dropped(auto)

any ideas as to what i should have replaced while the tranny is out...any outher seals ?

my mech said 500 to do it...... good price?

Nothing I can think of, except maybe replace the starter now, before it goes at some inopportune time. It's a lot easier and cheaper combined with a tranny drop, it'll otherwise cost you a couple hundred alone when the time comes.

How many miles on it? I ask because while you're under it (or he is) have a look at trans mount, oil pan seals all the way around, motor mounts and all hoses that have easier access from below. Is the $500 for parts & labor or just labor?

UUC sells a nice tranny mount for fairly cheap I believe.

parts and labor......and i forgot to mention that was including a seal on the back of the tranny

yea i think most places would charge more but all the car work needed for all my fams cars over the last 6 years has been to his shop
