E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
Well since i got some money from xmas, i wanna do some more engine upgrades.
I was considering a bigger throttle body. Can anyone give me more info about them? Like any good manufacturers, what gains i might expect, wether or not there worth the money? Any links would help.
Id probably do this in combination with an M50 manifold for optimal gains. Then maybe the shark inejctor from Conforti.

don't buy it. I looked at what people posted about buying the Dinan one for their e36's and they said it wasn't worth the money. I think JRhaile has, or had one.
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

for how many mods you have right now, you could get more HP for your money. The first thing I would do would be the M50 manifold, you will feel the biggest difference for the money (go to KO performance!), and then get a shark injector for another good bang for your buck, Lastly get that sexy exhaust.

Do suspension mods before upgrading your throttle body.
Well i got $1600 CDN from xmas, and i also have $750 CDN saved in my bank.
So im probably do my suspension first, then maybe M50 manifold. But i should also save a couple hunred cause i have M3 mirrors and eyebrows waiting to be painted and installed.
^^ We learned the hard way when i crashed the van that my family needs 3 cars. My next one will be an E39 5er which will of course be manual.
A tranny swap is WAY to expensive at this point. I dont have the resources, time, money, or knowlege to even attempt it at this point. Who knows, maybe down the road....

yeah tranny swap is not worth it at all
oh and manual e39's are nice, there's so much room in the center console it's amazing lol, a sales man at the dealership has a 540i 6-speed i've driven it twice, it's definitely a fun car
Without getting folks in a "tussle" over stick vs automatic AGAIN... pulling the conversion could come back to haunt you at selling time. (yeah I know NONE of you plan to ever sell your cars - I've heard that song & dance a million times - until you get married, divorced, etc..) A potential buyer(or dealer if trading in) runs the VIN and see it was factory equipped with auto and now it's a stick... you know what impression that gives a buyer? "butchered/ hard driven ride" Guess who's not going to get "fair market price"? You. Not trying to ruin anyones' party but have been through this dozens of times
