Allrighty We're making good progress... everything under the car is back up...

Pistons are back in, so compression issue should be taken care of, tomorrow we're going to see how the injector's doing because at some point the injector on piston 5 was pushing too much gas, so it was either an injector issue or ecu issue... but if that's ok, then car should be back and running tomorrow

I'm 23, an engineer, and the proud owner of a bmw.

1) the cheapest and best (you learn more) way to fix your car is to do it yourself.

2) the one guy who replied to send you a manual, get it.

3)the other guy who offered help via AIM, you should talk to him too.

4)get a haynes' manual...

5)don't get too mad, b/c your car will run one day (I promise!), and if you get a EURO 3.2, it's a good thing...they make more power from what I hear.

good luck.

very, very true. in a way, it's like people who say that german cars are high maintainance...who also dont ever do maintainance on their cars. if you follow schedules 1 & 2 per bmw's instructions, your car should last a very long time. if you don't, ITS NOT THE CAR'S FAULT. it was designed a certain way. i had this arguement with someone stupid at work the other day.
