I'm guessing that's the link you're talking about.
Not a bad deal... usually carbon fiber hoods are around $500-600 plus $300 shipping... heh
I would question the quality of that one though.
If you do it though, do it for the look and style. The weight redux is so minimal it wouldn't be worth the money.

Yeah, in that case it's ok, I wish they would finally start selling that "white CF" I heard about it on this show I went to two years ago, but I still haven't seen any on the market yet.

there is the working link and yes my car is Cosmo Black other wise i would have it painted but thats another reason im going carbon fiber, in the long run it will b cheaper to get a carbon fiber hood to replace the dented hood then get a stock hood and have to paint it as well as the fender matched in. so any thoughts on this hood? and i agree that im leary about Ebay buisness i emailed the company to see whats up, but i figured some familiar ppl's opinions would help!

That pic looks about 17x better than the one komodo posted. That one didn't even have pictures OF THE ACTUAL HOOD!!
If your car's black enough, and you have some other custom, non-rice stuff done to your car (qualty, not too flashy stuff), then I say go for it.

the only thing that turns me off to that hood is the price... seems really really cheap... do they say anywhere how much it weighs? If you do end up getting it, make sur eyou give us some feedback! It will look really good on your car!

DON"T DO IT!
Hutch,
I checked out the link you posted and this is the first thing I noticed...
All our parts are manufactured from 100% REAL 3K CARBON FIBER!!!
The 3 K High Tensile strength carbon fiber used with our top quality epoxy/resin will give a part very strong.
Stronger then steel but much lighter. This kind of Carbon Fiber is used for aircrafts, space etc.
High Quality UV gel Coating to ensure shininess and the color not to become yellow.
Notice the lack of complete sentences? Come on, if they can't write how the hell would you trust them with parts for your bimmer.
Check out VIS, www.visracing.com
They have real carbon fiber that is UV coated so it won't wear in the sun.
Only draw back. VIS says that you need hood pins.

The biggest problems with CF hoods is the fitment, no matter how perfect they say it will be, it will never be like stock.
