E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
BMW's beg to be driven, and what could be better than a great road with a great sounding stereo in your 3-Series.
The small stock speaker locations don't really lend themselves to the installation of powerful bass speakers, so our engineers have cleverly designed these tiny modules that bolt up to the rear stock speaker locations, without cutting or drilling a single hole in your car. The result is smooth and powerful JL Audio sub-bass, without sacrificing trunk space.
THE HARD DATA:
Contains two 8IB4 subwoofers in a semi-enclosed infinite baffle setup. 150 watt power handling. Can be wired for 8 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono. Stealthbox® consists of two separate units. Attaches underneath the rear deck with absolutely no cutting or drilling required. Sacrifices no trunk space! Will not fit 3-Series Convertible or '97-'98 3-Series sedan (4 door). Will not fit '99-Up 3-Series.
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

Yeah dude... I have an older pioneer head unit from an Alero I used to have way back. Its a Pioneer DEH-3400. I installed it myself (requires a wiring harness and since it is amplified with mofset, you have to un-amplify it with this little contraption - not sure what it is called - see crutchfield.com). This head unit had front and back preouts (RCAs) built in. I used those to hook in, rather than going to the speakers for power. I still have factory speakers, and they are just fine for me for now.
The head unit came first. It made such a huge difference with the H/K system (i have the 10 speaker version)...

so heres what im thinking....factory hu w/ the bavauto basslink sub. even if i bought a new hu($150) + $180 for basslink on ebay it would almost be the same price. any objections lol....if it doesnt hit hard enough what would be my options from then on out?
