E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
Most of you with Angel Eyes I'm assuming you spliced the grey wire from the headlight into your corner lights correct? This is what I've done with both of my pairs that I've owned. Anyways, I took my old Depo's and installed them into my GFs car last night. Problem is, she has 3 wires going into one corner light bulb. My car which is the same year only had one wire going into the bulb socket. Anyone else's car like hers? If so, what did you splice the grey angel eye wire into?

Your Ride: Nothing .. for now.
if there is 3 wires that can, to me, only mean 1 thing.
one of them is ground and the other two are either .. a) parking lights .. or .. b) turn signal / emergency blinkers .. just gotta find which is the parking lights and splice it to that one.
then again i reall have no idea about it but thats my guess.
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
Okay so my car is just cool then because it only has one solid grey wire that I spliced into. I think I know which one it is. Thanks fellas. Just checking to make sure something wasn't wrong.
Don't worry about the colors and all that nonsense...
The blinker wire would be spliced into the fender turn signal light (look for this splice above the tire well area. The brown wire is ground as always and that would leave one wire left the parking light wire....
haha should hook it into the blinker one.. so when they turn on the angel eyes will flash hahaha
We actually did that with my car. Haha, fun memories... me and Chris (and Zak/EcianIce for a while) standing outside the grocery store at night with my angel eyes flashing on and off with the blinker..... haha
My angel eyes and hid installation was entirely trial and error.
Mines as well....
Actually Komodo...I got my ZKW kit a week or so after you, T-Mac, Deloriant, and some other cats from the forums, and I remember we all posted up problems we had with our installations...
I thought you had it the worst...when your fuses got messed up....until I killed my batteries and disabled the electrical system in my car and almost messed up my relays and altenator...from installing the HID ballasts...
lol....good times those were...standing in the freezing cold and crying wondering if my car would ever start again...

Ha, yeah. I had just about every electrical problem I could around that time. Luckily pretty much everything is worked out now.
