E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
I would just like to point out that the two cars linked on the first post have both been previously modded. This is something that most people try to stay away from when buying a car. If the car has been modded, even a little, it shows that the driver wanted more out of the car and was most likely pushing it quite hard. If I were you, I would take my time and really search for the right car, rather than getting the first one you test drive simply becasue you have the money. Try to buy one from an adult owner who has not modded the car at all.

True, but then again judging by the difference in prices, you could get a slightly older 325 and with the money saved buy some m3 cams, intake, exhaust, etc and be faster than 328's depending whether or not you would have a lot of money left to want to mod a 328.

Any e36 will be nice to have.
Of course, the 318 will be slowest, unless if you have the 316 out there.
The 318 though gets better gas milage and insurance is cheaper than a 6 cylinder.
I have had my 1.8 for 2-3 years and I love it. I just wish I has a little more power sometimes. I know if I get a 6 cylinder, after a few months I will be wishing for more power... it would be endless.
Regardless to what you will get, you should like it.
