Unhappy Maf Help

well my car keeps on not starting and the code is for the mass airflow sensor.....ne one know where i can get one thats not g0ing to cost an arm and a leg or if ne one has one that they want to sell me

untill then she will be sitting in the garage

I'm not up on the compatability but... "carsalesunlimited" on Ebay has a '95 M3 maf for $50 and Justin is a pretty straight-shooter

is the MAF the same as the HFM? the part that many m3' guys switch to either a 540 or euro m3 piece because it is 3.5" in diameter instead of 3"?

If this is the case, then the answer is no, unless you get custom tuning I believ.

try bimmer forums classifieds, a few people on there have 318's that swapped in an s50 or s52 motor, so they might have that part from their old motor.

i just took it out and cleaned it with electric spray like 5 times and it runs way better guess it was just dirty.........lets hope the problem doesnt come back

Yes, they do the same thing. MAF is "mass airflow sensor" and HFM is "heated film mass sensor".
