my damn zkw's

hey guys :dunno so my right zkw headlight is all messed up. im talking about the adjustment. so the back adjuster, the one behind the highbeam, the back popped out and i realigned and put it back in. but my problem is....i am adjusting it downward and teh screw or whatever you call it pops out. so there is no way for me to adjust it down any further, i have to use the plastic screws to point it downward which makes it look bad. does anyone have any tips. thanx!

no one? lol :) its okay i guess

does it mess up the aim of your headlights? you should fix it so you arn't blinding other drivers....

if its just a mounting screw and not an aiming screw i might not worry about it.. just be sure to check the other mounting screws periodically

no, i need to adjust the mounting screw to point it down enough...the adjustment in the back keeps popping out because the way i turn it (to angle down) makes the ajustment screw pop out...i was hoping to get some feed back from some zkw owners. thanx! lol ya im trying not to blind every one ;)

Sorry, I've never had to adjust my ZKW's yet. Although I need to.

Try reading over those to see if it helps at all.

ya, it is screw #1 in that picture. it pops out when i turn it in that direction. the problem is that the beam is not low enough and the thing pops out before i can get it any lower :(

This happened to me....last march...I know exactly the screw you are talking about....I wounded the little screwdriver hole thing up to a point..as I was leveling it so the beam aimed downwards and then the screw in the back popped out and the aim of the projector shot upwards....

What I did was (after several troubleshoots) replace the rear screw but don't screw it in tight...and rewind the screwdriver hole thing on top to lower the light (apparantly the default aim setting on my ZKW projection, or zero position, is aimed up). Turn it really slowly....I mean slow, not medium speed. And after awhile it will adjust to the aim you want.....This should work.

Mine are aimed to the lowest.....

good luck...

but what makes me mad is....that screwing it IN would seem to me, make it go down but it doesnt, its like hanging on the last turn but it is still kinda high...so anymore tips would be sweet. thanx delmarco!!!

hey delmarco, do u have any pics of your headlights, like leveled on a wall or something? or just the light in the distance, that would help a lot!
