Crappy clear corners

A good reason not to buy cheesy clear corners on eBay . .

The moisture has been in there for about 3wks now. I always hated them anyway, I don't even know why I bought that type, should have gotten the frosted looking ones :o:

Those are pricey, becasue you have to get the entire headlight fixture. Try www.bavauto.com

I think I am right about all this :dunno:

Well, I have the SAME EXACT CORNERS on my car, and yes, I got them from eBay, and yes, I think they look MUCH better than the "frosted" ones. You can all tear me up later.... on to the question...

Two things... as Rooz had indicated earlier, silicone them all the way around. I did this as well. It works.

Also, you'll notice that on the inside of the lens, near the crome part, you'll see there's actually a hole. It's covered with a sticker-like thing. Take it off. This is (to my knowledge) a vent hole that lets air in and out. It's covered while they're new so as to not let dust/dirt get to the inside of the lens during storage/shipping.

Check out my site. I have the same lenses (absolutely no moisture) and I think they look fantastic.

And regarding the ricey comment.....

If you look at a dark colored or a really light colored E36 with your (our)lenses on it, they look better than the "frosted" ones because it makes the front end look "cleaner."

On a yellow or red or silver, etc... the "frosted" ones look a lot better. On your car (black?) and mine (alpine white) these lenses look MUCH better in my opinion because they make the headlight to corner lines look more seamless.

SOMEBODY out there has GOT to agree.... come on...

Dudesky 09-21-2006 06:04 AM

Sorry man, can't hang with ya there. I was embarrassed to have had them on . . IMO my smoked lenses look so much better :(
