taillights - United Bimmer Community

hey guys, I think one of my next mods to do will be some clear or smoked tail lights. unfortunately these arent as cheap or as simple as clear corners.

My main trouble would be that I don't know where to go for tail lights that won't cost me a fortune and that won't set off my OBC.

edit: these are expensive, but I like em. what do you guys tihnk? reminds me of the new e46 tails.

I don't really care for those but whatever floats your boat. I got my tails off ebay for like $80 and they work great. By the way I got them from procarparts

I've seen those before and I actually really like them, however I've already spent $2XX on tails, so I can't really justify spending anymore. If I had the choice from the beginning, I'd have gone with those.

i personally like the clear/white strip on top, because thats what the m3 ones look like, just get some off ebay, i had those, and really there wasnt a problem

yah, i agree, they look kinda odd. but they might look better when they are actualy on the car.

those look nice, but it's VERY annoying when like a few of the led's die...

^^ leds aren't supposted to ever die are they?

LEDs fade, they don't burn out unless you hit them with an emp or something with high voltage.

they will eventualy burn out. but only after like 100,000 hours of continuous use as i was told. Other than that LED's are the best

yeah I think I got mine from procarparts, same place as Jrhaile and bmw4life.

They work fine for me, no OBC errors so far or anything.

If you have 100,000 hours of breaking, I think you have other things to worry about besides taillights (and should probably buy stock in rotor and brake pad companies).

thanks guys. Ill go to procarparts to see if htey have any tails.

I probably want smoked ones.

and as much as I really like those LED ones, and it would be really different compared to everyone else, I dont wanna spend 275+ s/h.

yes those would work great, the only problem i THINK you might have is maybe water getting in, but thats no big deal, take some silicon or something and jus tput it around the sides, no one will see it, btw thats a spankin deal, not only does it come with tail lights, it comes with 6 bulbs + wiring harness
