SRS Reset for 92-93's

Has anyone else noticed that the SRS Reset Tool only works with model years '94 and up? What happens with us '92 and '93 folks? Does the light go off once the problem that created it is fixed? Because if this happens to me, there ain't no way I'm going to the dealer to bend over

I think up till '94, the E36 only had an airbag in the steering wheel. Then they added the passenger side, and eventually the side impact bags. Probably has something to do with that, different systems.

I guess if my warning light ever comes on, I'll just pull the bulb, then rig it up manually for inspection time
