ABS,Airbag Dash light off?

Hi all ,i need some help to rebuild 318 i e36 BMW.

First question ,any can tell me if possible an 318 `ve 6 cylinder ?
because i purchase this model and im very surprise when i see 6 cylinder motor inside.

second question ,when i put key on position start ,No ABS and Airbag light appear On ? Light is off ? i need them for inspection car ....

IM French and its possible you have some difficulties to listen me but i try to make a good english .

Welcome to United Bimmer!

The 318i is a 4 cyl engine. The only way their would be a 6 cyl engine is if someone did an engine swap. All 6 cyl BMW engines are Inline 6 engines, not V6's. I could tell you what motor was in it if you are able to post a picture.

It is possible that the dash lights for those indicators were removed or disabled. Take the car to an auto parts store or mechanic and have them scan the OBD system for Codes. If their is a warning light that is supposed to illuminate the computer would have "thrown a code" as its called. To see if the lights were removed you can remove the instrument cluster.

ya im from quebec city.

exaust system is an 328 i , a lot of modification,
air intake mod,P-flow,
and more.

so after 3 hours research on google ,
-inspect if i have srs airbag
-clean 4 abs sensor,
-inspect fuse box abs and srs airbag,
-inspect abs pump

tomorow im be back with more info (pics)
and what i will doing on .

My apologies, the 318i is a four cyl. I typed 328i by mistake.

The 320i is a 6 Cyl M50 engine. Which intake is on it? Explain the "P-flow" please.

On the door panel above the handle their should be a little plastic thing that says "SRS" on it.

how to post pic ? ......
so i have find problem of airbags light dash,
the last owner cover light in with tape because the light is all time on.....
after remove relay , brake pad light ,turn off ......
my brother think to do a bypass light sensor to up the five light and cheap inspection car,
he think is the best solution because the problem can be very hard to resolve.

soo any have good idea what i can do to,
but i don t want to go bmw concession ,is too expensive .for a problem can be resolve in 5 min ,charge 4 hours too.....

I'm having a hard time trying to understand what you mean.

Original owner covered light with tape. You removed Which relay? If the brake pad wear sensor is on you can replace it for $15. Their one time use sensors to be replaced when you replace the pads.
