E36 production no. - United Bimmer Community

I was at the supermarket today and saw a BMW magazine at the mag corner. Since the book is expensive ($19.00 From the UK).So I just flip the pages and saw a page containing the production number of every BMW.
I was shock to see that 2 366 000 E36s were made. The quote from that MAG about the E36 “Styling a shock but it sold well”

the e30 sold slightly more than the e36... strange huh?

I didn’t see the E30 production number. Other BMWs like the 5 series, 7 series, 8 series (30 000 were made), they don’t even reach the one million production mark.

I read this before, so I had to dig it up again. I guess actual numbers vary depending on the source; the following is according to BMW Magazine for the 3 series:

E21: 1,364,038 units
E30: 2,339,250 "
E36: 2,373,463 "
E46: more than 3,000,000 to date.

I'm surprised you don't see more e21's rolling around for being so many produced.
