New Winter Wheels

hey guys, found this guy selling his wheels cheap with some used tires (40% tread). I can get these MOMO Racers for $400 even with the tires. I would use these during the winter cause they wouldn't show the dirt as much and they are already used I can put my MB's away till it's time to show em off in the spring :)

they are 17x8 which is a pretty comfy yet sticky ride. He was running 225 front and 255 in the rear i think he said. does this sound ok?

I really like em, what do you guys think?

voca 10-03-2005 10:28 PM

those rims would looks so sick on your black car. you won't wanna take em off for spring.

komodo 10-03-2005 10:50 PM

Haha, I agree with voca. I bet you'll fall in love with black rims during the winter and wanna keep them in the spring. :rock

for the price I'd do it...

Spieluhr 10-03-2005 11:19 PM

I actually agree with you guys. I am just using the winter things as one more excuse to get them.

and yes rooz, the price is phenomenal.

BaLAnCe17 10-03-2005 11:46 PM

get them...i might buy them for you lol :P

Rooz 10-03-2005 11:50 PM

:D If you feel generous buy me a set too ;)

EDIT: On a side note that car has been in a wreck... make sure the wheels haven't had any major damage due to it...

94bmw325i 10-03-2005 11:56 PM

umm you can fit 255's in the back?

Rooz 10-03-2005 11:59 PM

depending on profile, I'd say yes

Spieluhr 10-04-2005 12:12 AM

how do you know it's been in a wreck?

Rooz 10-04-2005 12:21 AM

easy... look how the pas. door sits, not perfect all around (meanign gap between door and fender, and door - skirt) The pass. door and fender have obviously been repainted and color isn't a perfect match, also the moldings seem newer, and there is a noticeable gap on that front and rear bumper....

:) just a few details...

billycuth 10-04-2005 07:40 AM

jmho, but I don't think you can tell if a car has been in a wreck based on a photo. the gaps could be due to replacing parts, and the molding could be new - maybe it isn't an m3, but he upgraded his bumpers...

i think we all love your car with the chrome deep dishes like in your sig. i don't think those rims would do your car justice.

get the rims. those would be awseome foe winter. how much snow do you usually get?
