I am gonna start buying parts to tune up my car. I wanan get rid of hte CEL light and the airbag light.

is this the tool I need for the air bag light?

I am also gonna buy an air pump simulator from AA to get rid of my CEL's.

is that a common problem on just 328's? So does the error just popup on the OBC? or is it one of those codes you have to pull?

it is a fairly common problem on all e36's. The SRS light on the dash should light up red if you have a problem. Often times it is nothing major, just a sensor that god pushed wrong once and now the light is on. I have even heard of it happening after people install their aftermarket stereo.
